Our ode to the History of Typography
The font used for this collection was influenced by the Antique Scotch Roman typefaces that were launched in 1845.
You’re probably thinking, “okay, where are you going with this”.
If you know your dates, then you’ll know that 1845 is smack in the middle of the Industrial Revolution.
And if you didn’t pay attention in your grade 9 History class, it’s when (wo)mankind shifted into an increase in production through machines and energy sources.
Long story short, it’s when graphic communication (think: fonts and photography) were launched and the way we consume information was ultimately changed forever.
The font used throughout this collection is a take on those that were used for headlines.
Wear a letter or number to do a small shout out to a loved one, lover, or just to honor yourself.
